My background? Childhood in Starbuck, Minnesota, a Lake Wobegon-like town for those that know the reference. Later, after and during university studies, stints throughout the western U.S. in the general pursuit of snow and surf, rocks, and education… Utah, Montana, Arizona, California, Nevada, and now Oregon.
In 1994, my wife Lisa and I made the decision – in roughly twenty minutes - to move to Hood River. Hood River and the surrounding area is a jewel, with a diverse group of people and a multitude of available activities. Now, an increasing number of years later, I still consider myself fortunate to be able to live, play and work in the Hood River area. I hope that we as a community have the collective wisdom to be good stewards of this special place.
I sell real estate in The Columbia River Gorge for a simple reason - I enjoy it. The variety of people I am able to meet, the evolving details of each transaction, and the flexibility of the schedule keeps my work interesting and to me, vital.
My real estate record is strong, having completed the past several years near the top of the producing agents at Nunamakers. Some years I close from 25-35 transactions, in less busy years perhaps 15-25. Perhaps most important to me is the fact that most of my clients have worked with me repeatedly, in addition to referring many of their friends and colleagues. I am far more concerned with representing a property well for a Seller, or finding the right property for a Buyer, than I am in advertising myself. I believe my record reflects that perspective.
The focus of my business is listing and selling middle-to-higher priced homes and land in the Hood River area. Don’t get me wrong – I am happy to work in all areas and price ranges in the Gorge, but my first priority is close to Hood River.
